Private Counselling

We offer confidential, safe and flexible therapeutic counselling, psychological services and coaching to individuals, couples, parents, families and groups.

Our one-to-one individual counselling offers an opportunity to learn more about yourself through exploring your current understanding of your issue or situation, including your family history, existing coping strategies, experience of current relationships, etcetera. You can then work with your counsellor to bring about changes to improve your experiences.

Couple counselling is different for every couple, and depends on age, personality, previous relationship experience and the history of the current relationship. General issues which may come into the work could include developing strong communication, fair rules about conflict management, as well as strategies to increase connection, intimacy and trust in the relationship.

Counselling for parents uses an approach that gives children choices, yet encourages parental structure and discipline as the stabilizing component. Families will be invited to consider their current situations, strength and difficulties. Through this process, it is possible to improve interpersonal skills and trust, in turn developing and maintaining accountability, communication, emotional safety, and a process of fair consistent boundaries.

Family counselling encourages constructive communication between family members. Each family member is invited to express themselves in a way that enables the family as a whole to move forward. As with the counselling for parents above, through the process of considering current situations, strengths and difficulties, it is possible to improve interpersonal skills and trust, in turn developing and maintaining accountability, communication, emotional safety, and a process of fair consistent boundaries.

Our group counselling is designed to facilitate a process through which clients are invited to empower themselves by identifying and accessing their strengths. During facilitated conversations, group members share their experiences and challenges. This process can increase awareness, responsibility and accountability for participants.
